Iceni's Advisory Services

A range of health and safety services are available to support you and your colleagues in managing health and safety, from a one off survey, to a full competent person services, policy and safety management systems development.

All companies who employ five persons or more have a legal obligation under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to provide a written Safety Policy which sets out the company's responsibilities and procedures at work and their duty to bring it to the attention of all their employees.

Risk Assessments

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires employers to undertake risk assessments of all their activities and to put in place measure to eliminate or control that risk.

The Health and Safety Executive have made it clear that the risk assessment should include occupational stress and that firms should be both proactive and systematic in their assessment of the risks.

The risk assessment should be reviewed periodically and whenever there are significant changes in the workplace.

Iceni can not only assist with general risk assessments but can also help with specific risk assessments, e.g. Manual Handling, Display Screen Equipment, Working at Height, Vibration, Noise and Fire assessments.
